storage both internal and external uh i got into um uh installation of software on different operating systems this past week we're gonna wrap that up uh talk also a little bit about file mapping we were talking about that a lot this week file extensions we'll go a little bit more into that and then i'm going to start teaching basics of internet uh basics of web browsing uh basics of downloading things like that so we'll get into internet setup some basic networking things nothing advanced in that regard but we're going to get into basic uh internet web browsing you know how to configure your browser basic downloading so we're going you know at a nice pace at a slow pace for beginners and uh people who are a little bit intermediate i give them a little bit more advanced things to chew on here today and this is what i want to try to do folks and i have i'm going to make a resolve i'm going to attempt to do this as calmly as possible all right i want to help people to understand what has happened in the technological sphere in the software space since about 2007 when the first iphone was introduced by the former ceo of apple steve jobs who is now deceased but when he was alive in his you know some of his last days he uh introduced the iphone and ios which is the operating system that runs on apple's mobile platforms it used to run on the ipad now they have modified that and given it some additional capabilities it is now called on the ipad ipad os but it is still referred to as ios on the iphone and a lot of these features have crept into mac os now as people know i do use mac os for most of my work you're watching my slides on a keynote presentation we are actually using compositing software i have two mac laptops on my desk right here we use compositing software that runs on the mac known as memo live to do the show it is similar to obs open broadcasting system software on uh that is available on uh mac windows and linux that's cross platform and open source but we use something with a little more horsepower known as memo live and um you know what i want to try to help people to understand is what has happened recently in software on particularly apple's operating systems now people will go well why should i care about that and this is the problem with the whole community folks this is the problem with the whole so-called freedom movement ladies and gentlemen is most people don't give a damn about what happens to the freedom of other people oh if i don't use mac os who gives a damn whether there's tyranny taking place on it right oh if that's happening in another state well that affects those people who gives a damn about them that's not happening to me right here and now you live in another country and there's not an extreme lockdown happening and it's not affecting your lives like it is the people here in the united states are even worse the people of australia and england you know oh who gives a damn that doesn't affect me that's why we're going deeper into slavery ladies and gentlemen because the care principle is being incinerated in people's minds and hearts and people don't care about the freedom of all not just themselves see we don't again as i've said infinite amount of times here on water what on earth is happening we do not have a freedom movement we have a my freedom movement a self-centered selfish oriented freedom movement that says as long as i have my individual freedom i don't give a damn about the freedom of anybody else i don't care about what's happening in that state that country on that platform that i don't use you know and this is why the whole damn world is going deeper and deeper into bondage and slavery that's the very reason ladies and gentlemen because you don't care about the freedom of all so i want people to understand what's been going on in apple's space regarding software and their platforms that they have absolutely no right to do and this is what i want my listener and viewer base to deeply understand because most of you have your head up your ass and you don't understand it from a perspective of natural law and you think they have some sort of a right as a private company to do the things that they are doing and they do not you're wrong you're incorrect you have it completely backwards and wrong when it comes to their rights under natural law you're not correct about it you're wrong and i'm going to explain to you how you're wrong so let's start looking at this because this has everything to do people are like what does what does uh software have to do with human freedom everything folks if you don't understand this is about the free flow of information and how people are trying to choke it how they are trying to stifle the free flow of information and that is straight out of the soviet union handbook that is straight out of mussolini's handbook that is straight out of adolf hitler's handbook that is straight out of communist china's handbook if you don't understand that i don't know what to tell you you're totally spiritually dead and asleep you're not awake you're asleep and if you don't care you don't get it you don't get what's going on around you or even why it's important so i want to try to very clearly explain this to people so that they get what's happening why it's happening and why it's of utmost importance if you care about human freedom to speak to publish information to share information to receive information from others that's what this whole thing is about folks that's why they've been able to control the world to the extent that they've controlled it because they've choked the free flow of information and i'm going to explain you how they're doing it because most of you are technological [ __ ] you're technologically [ __ ] you know nothing about computers you know nothing about technology and you don't even understand the importance of it your luddites most of you are luddites i'm talking to my viewership get as offended as you like look up the term luddite vocabulary word of the day for some of the dross out there luddite l-u-d-i-t-e look it up understand what it means okay it means somebody who is afraid of technology doesn't want to move forward with technology folks anarcho-primitivism is a bunch of nonsense [ __ ] okay all of the hyphenated anarchies are all of them everyone there's no such thing as hyphenated anarchy okay and if you don't understand with the direction technology is headed deeper and deeper into fascism and communist methodologies you don't know what's going on and you're a luddite and you're you're not going to ultimately help the situation get any better if you stay a technological luddite this is why i offer the true media seminar it's why i get upset about things like this because people don't even know what's happening or why it's important and you need to understand it you need to understand it so look up luddite and it has two d's i'm being informed l-u-d-d-i-t-e okay i spelled it wrong there's the correction l-u-d-d-i-t-e luddite okay look it up in connection with dross because those who are luddites are by definition dross okay d-r-o-s-s there's your vocabulary words of the day okay so let's get into what apple has done in the software space since 2007 and why it's criminal criminal and if you don't understand it's criminal you're wrong if you think it's not criminal you're wrong you are wrong i don't care what argument you throw at it you don't have enough information you don't know yourself deeply enough about what's going on and you don't understand the moral principles that make it criminal and immoral behavior and you yourself are wrong as a result so let's clarify these things so that you can understand them and understand why it's criminal and wrong back in 2007 i was working as a technician in the school of medicine information services at the university of pennsylvania an ivy league university i was one of i was the head of several of their laboratory departments in the biomedical research facility the brb building on the campus of upenn university of pennsylvania i worked in the brb building this was called the biomedical research building so i worked in biomedical technical laboratories as their main troubleshooter for several different departments the departments i served included cardiology hematology oncology and others among others i was still working there when this keynote happened which i believe was at mac world 2007 i'm not positive it could have been at worldwide developers conference but i think it was at the mac world keynote uh you know i stand corrected if i'm not correct about that but this is when steve jobs first introduced the iphone and ios now let me try to explain what happened on this day what was announced in addition to announcing the iphone as a cell york computing platform for apple's cell phone known as the iphone which was touch based interface and you know had small you know applications that they released for it that worked with the touch interface apple introduced their own app store where you could buy apps for the iphone similar to the android app store which is now called the google play store this was simply called the apple app store now why was this so important or different apple publicly announced that day in 2007 that the only method for installing any application on the entire ios platform would be through the apple app store and that applications would not be allowed to be installed any other through any other method other than a download through their store so they announced publicly that there would be a private monopolization of applications on an entire computing platform this has never been done before right there i immediately went into alert panic mode practically and i said this is going to be horrifically abused when steve jobs announced this publicly and said there will be no method of side loading apps you will have to come to us we will essentially without saying it with these words this is what he said we will be the gatekeepers of software on the entire platform you will not be able to go to a third-party developer to buy any software that runs on this platform from a third party okay now people who immediately go oh ios belongs to apple they could do whatever they want because they're a private company no you're wrong that's untrue they can put whatever they want in their curated store which i'm going to explain later but they are not this is called criminal racketeering this is conspiracy to create a monopoly all of these things are criminal behavior okay you are saying we are the gatekeepers of something that is public and then is bought and used by people in private hands how dare apple say i may not put something on something that i own once i buy it imagine this and this is what [ __ ] accepted as the new normal and you're probably one of them viewer that is watching now or you're probably so ignorant you don't even know that this happened you just use whatever somebody puts in your hand where's my slab where's my black slab at that's all you know how to use because you're a luddite you know hand me my black slab and let me tap away with my thumbs i mean technological luddite [ __ ] that's what 99 of human beings are and that's why you're getting your ass beat to living [ __ ] that's the reason that's why you're getting your ass beat to living [ __ ] by the satanists and the globalists because you have no means of defense you have no means of spreading the word you don't know how to do it you don't know what you're doing you're flailing away in the [ __ ] dark people and you're not making an effort to get educated when it comes to publishing technology which is the only way we're going to get the word out and mass so let's go back to what apple did okay they basically said you have to come through our app store to install anything on this platform and we will control every app that we want to allow on this platform if it does anything we do not like we will not allow it for inclusion in the app store and there will be no alternative see if apple said that about their platform about the app store and said we're going to give you an alternative you could tick a box in a setting somewhere and say allow this phone to side load apps from elsewhere fine i'd have no problem with it okay as you can do on android platform or as you could do on windows but apple was now saying we're taking a total lockdown approach all apps will come through us and you as a user who buys the item that we sell will not be able to download from any third-party source other than us we will are the 100 percent controller of software on an entire computing platform when i heard this that day live when jobs gave this keynote i worked in the brb building at penn all of the regular staff worked at a building adjacent to u-pen hospital which is not a big long walk but it's literally a walk of probably a block or two okay from the building that i worked in when i heard that apple created this software model for ios i stopped my job i had it on in a window on one of my computers in my office while i was working on somebody else's computer in my office and i was watching the keynote doing work i got up stopped my work and got up from my desk walked down nine nine i was on the ninth floor of the building i walked down the stairs went out of the building left the building walked on the street to the other building where the other guys uh in the somis school of medicine information services department were at in their building walked up their steps went into their office in the main area where most of the other p i i had a job at uh in the somas department that was a little bit um more uh carried a little bit more responsibility than other troubleshooters than than other people on the tech staff so i had my own office in another building i went to the main office where they had desks all set up like somewhat like cubicles in one huge room where all the other troubleshooters sat and i walked into that room and started voicing my concerns about what i had just heard in this keynote two other highly technical specialists these were tech people tech troubleshooters that know a lot about operating systems and software as i do and i went in there and i said do you hear what he just did you hear what he just said in the keynote address he said apple's creating this walled garden which they already have had a walled garden pretty much especially when it comes to hardware and you know i i care a lot less about that than i do about control of software and i said they're extending this really deeply into the software space by acting as a gatekeeper of every app that's going to be on the store i said first of all do you know what this is going to mean they can censor any app that they don't like its feature set if they don't like any feature set of an app they could say we're not carrying it in the app store and then you can't put that feature on your iphone and these people are like saying to me mark why are you so worried why are you so paranoid about this the iphone is going to be great this is going to be the next big thing this is going to be great for apple on the mac platform i'm like can you not understand the implications of this for freedom and folks that's why i in my life i got one ios device just to become somewhat proficient in the platform for troubleshooting purposes and i never used that first of all i never bought an iphone never will buy or use an iphone because of this software model i use android for my phone and i like windows on a tablet device to run full windows 10 on a tablet that's what i prefer i've said that before on a desktop computer i do prefer mac os and there are reasons for that and i'm showing you how platform agnostic i am okay for the purposes of the one great network i may even install a variant of linux maybe something like mint or ubuntu or uh you know i don't know a driscoll or trisco or something like that i i'm still considering it and just installing obs for that you know so i am completely platform agnostic but folks i want to talk about that don't tell me what platform i should be using or should not be using that's not your business it's not your business and it's not your choice do you understand that because i'm gonna get really really pissy and agitated if people tell me what i need to do with my own [ __ ] business it's none of your [ __ ] business what i use i'll use what i [ __ ] want to use do you understand don't tell me what to use anymore then i'll tell you what to use [ __ ] get that through your thick [ __ ] skulls people it's your choice what system you use the first of all it's a [ __ ] array of choices quite frankly computer computing is in the [ __ ] all right all of it all of it don't tell me i need to limit my choices out of the three or four that are available [ __ ] face all right and folks i get angry because you're most of you are [ __ ] retards you don't even understand this this simplistic nature that there's only a few choices of operating systems and we should care more about ourselves to say let me get back more into a corner from a choice of three or four to one no we need to stop these fascists in their tracks and make them like what was just done this week i'm going to actually tell a good story in a moment about what happened on the apple platform we should make them backtrack they don't have any right to do what they're doing stop telling me to run like a little [ __ ] coward that you are i'm not a coward like you are don't tell me i need to run away like you you little [ __ ] fairy [ __ ] you want to make it personal i'll make it real [ __ ] personal don't tell me what platform i need to use i'll use what i want it's my [ __ ] choice this is why i can't stand dumb [ __ ] i have my patience is run out and it's because you don't give a [ __ ] about yourself enough you have self-loathing and you'll run away like a little [ __ ] fairy we've got to stop backing down and running away and confront this first of all understand it and understand what has occurred so that you can confront it in knowledge and understanding let me go back to the explanation further of what happened okay so first of all i get up go to the other building try to tell other tech guys why i'm concerned about this and they don't even understand that's how stupid they were most of them a couple of them got it but most of them were like you're worried for nothing apple's not going to do anything that's what they sounded like like they were choking on dog [ __ ] apples like little dory think brad with this power vomiting dog [ __ ] out of their gullet you know that's how big a [ __ ] retards most of them were no apple's not going to technofascist like this like this clown jobs was and like the bigger hitlerian clown cookler is no they're not going to do anything controlling with it why would you think that they're only trying to ban entire populations from their platforms because they don't like their political views you know they don't like the truth that they're telling now they're trying to ban youtube downloading software like they just did with charlie monroe's software which we're gonna get to but let's look at what apple really did here okay so this is the whole issue the app store okay and again apple can curate in the app store all they want but here's what they did they made it so you can't get any software into your device through any other method unless you do what's called jailbreaking the device which voids your warranty on the device and is very difficult and technologically challenging for most people to do it's not for the average end user and apple has made it very difficult to jailbreak recent versions of ios if not impossible so don't say jailbreaking is the solution no apple recanting these fascist [ __ ] policies is the real solution that is criminal racketeering and monopoly they're criminals they're globalist criminals in bed with the communist chinese and don't tell me that isn't true or happening because you're [ __ ] wrong that's exactly what it is you don't have enough information to understand the situation if you don't understand that that's your lack of information and understanding not mine and i'm done trying to make any excuses for people you're just [ __ ] dumb and wrong and that's not an ad hominem attack it's the truth you're too dumb to understand what the [ __ ] going on and you're wrong because you don't understand it from a moral perspective either it's your understanding problem not mine i'm correct and right you're dumb and wrong so here's what apple did with the app store that makes it a monopolistic practice and an immoral one first of all as gatekeepers they are telling developers they must go through them and therefore no developer who writes an app for the ios platform or ipad os platform now can sell their app to the public unrestricted and unrestrained as they used to be able to do on the mac os and as developers can still do on windows and linux they need apple's approval on this whole computing platform could you imagine this could you imagine if microsoft or the developers of linux said to people you have to get our permission before you write a program and release it to the public to run on their computer could you imagine and people don't even understand that this happened most of you out there don't even understand this has occurred since for 13 years it's been this way on this platform for 13 years folks and you still don't understand it and you don't understand why it's wrong they take 30 percent on forcing people to first of all i thought developers were going to rebel against this practice for sure i said developers are going to say [ __ ] apple i'm not writing anything for this platform unless they recant this policy but no no they wrote it they wrote it i they wrote the apps and sold them in the store and let apple take their monopolistic absolute this is this is criminal racketeering is what it is it look go look that up of what it is it's racketeering the developer cannot sell their app to the public anymore they have to go through apple and give apple a 30 extortion cut as a monopoly or they can't get their app to run on ios there are no no applications are able to run on the ios platform without apple's express approval in other words there is no side loading on the platform this means that you could take an application that is packaged and distributed online from a third-party developer and download it from that developer's website and install it on your device folks if you are so dense in the [ __ ] skull that you still think this is about what apple can do with their property and you don't understand that this is reaching into your property and other people's property you are [ __ ] [ __ ] you are a [ __ ] [ __ ] stop saying that it is about what apple can do with their property it's not [ __ ] face [ __ ] it's not you don't understand because you're dumb learn what's really going on apple has the right to control what's in the app store because the app store is their property and their space on the internet i'm not arguing that point by making it impossible to sideload an app apple is saying what you as a [ __ ] person who bought a device and an owner of that piece of property when you spent your money on it can do with the device post buying it which means they are dictating what you can do with your property understand the distinction dumb [ __ ] and folks i look i keep saying that i keep saying it and i can't do it i cannot do it i can't stay calm because i know how dumb you people are and i'm talking even to my own listening audience even to my own viewing audience i don't care get offended and shut the [ __ ] show off i don't care anymore because you're so [ __ ] dumb that i get from even you people you're dumb as a bag of [ __ ] [ __ ] you can't understand the distinction between curating in a store that they do own and have property rights to versus saying what you are allowed to install don't you get it no most of you don't because when your mouth opens liquid [ __ ] pours out by controlling which apps are permitted in the app store apple alone can control the entirety of the feature set available on the ios platform and if you can't understand how dangerous that is once again you're just a [ __ ] mental [ __ ] [ __ ] if you can't understand the danger of having that level of monopolistic power on an entire computing platform that they are trying to bring that model into mac now and when they do that windows will probably follow suit and don't tell me i need to go run to some [ __ ] where called linux cause 99 of it is shitwear as i've talked about look i'm gonna keep attacking the foss community the free and open source software community you know why you guys suck at what you do 99 of you guys blow at what you do and i'm gonna keep hammering on it attacking it because you're all just motivated like everybody else by profit and that's why your organizations suck dick okay and i'll just say it just like that to you you suck at what you do 99 percent of you do there's a a few gems in that community but they're few and far between and it's like picking through a pile of [ __ ] to find a nugget of gold get as offended as you want eggheads that's the truth anybody paying attention knows that's the truth about false free open source software all right i don't give a [ __ ] who gets offended by that get as offended as you like it's still true nonetheless so don't tell me i gotta be backed into a [ __ ] corner to use your garbage software most of it is garbage some of it's very good but few and far between in that whole community write really good software compared to windows and mac platforms so don't tell me i need to limit my options even more than they're already limited they're already too limited tell me i have to run away i'm not i'm not a [ __ ] coward like you i'm not running away i'm going to tell people why this is wrong so they can understand what's been going on and raised their voice to make it change you don't have enough will to make it change because most you are dumb [ __ ] who don't even understand what's going on all right if you don't understand these three bullet points and how dangerous all this is i don't know what to tell you uh you're a jackass a jackass all right and for all you equal cranial retards called the uh anarcho-capitalist community oh cooperation to do whatever the hell they want that's what you [ __ ] sound like you want corporate fascism that's what you guys want you think unrestrained illegal now i don't even care about illegal immoral practices unrestrained criminal i i'm strike illegal i didn't even mean to say it was a a mistake of of the tongue okay a slip of the tongue i meant trying to push out competitors so that you can just have a total dominant advantage over everybody just because you say you can because apple knows that they would have competitors in the whole software field if they allowed side loading of apps it's called having a weak position that you can't even defend your apple your little nazi cowards with such a weak position you got to say we're going to maintain a monopoly over the software available on our platform because probably people would write better software than you do [ __ ] look and i'll tell you i'm gonna go so far let me get as extreme as this right here if you agree with apple get the [ __ ] off anything related to what on earth is happening if you think apple aren't criminals and what they're doing isn't immoral i don't want you as even an associate a person who claims understand my work get the [ __ ] off my social media unfriend me now or i will block you if i find out you agree with apple and that's the other thing companies either act as a utility platform in which case they cannot censor or they act as a publisher in which case they can curate what on earth is happening is a private publishing platform that's why only i have say over what goes on that website it's not a public area i'm not making it available under the public if i did and then started censoring then that would be censorship and don't tell me a private facebook group that has a stated intended purpose isn't a publishing platform that's the difference between understanding what's your own property and what isn't it's a private publishing platform with a specific goal in mind you want to have a free-for-all platform with no rules then if you start taking down things that's called censorship you say you want to have a freedom of speech platform available to people to put their own content on and be their own publishers on their own private space that's what youtube is supposed to be twitter facebook and they're all engaged apple doesn't want to allow either in cahoots with google see everybody thinks oh google's their competitor right they write android and apple writes ios no they're not their real competitor it's all platform on earth when people post or live stream to youtube that's how they know they'll reach the maximum number of people and that's why they stay on the platform downey is a little piece of software that you can install on the mac os there are equivalents of it on windows and linux but it is mac only downey is mac only you could install things like media human youtube downloader you can install things like youtube dash dl on linux okay there are many other things that accomplish this same task to be able to download videos from a website i've talked about downey before on what on earth is happening because i personally own it i have purchased it from the developer and folks that's even a rare thing when i go out and say yeah this developer really deserves compensation and i i have talked about downey and how good it is at what it does it works for just about every website not just youtube if you want to grab a video from any website where a video is embedded downey will get the job done on the mac platform again on windows i've used a lot of them and i recommend one called media human youtube downloader which i don't think is nearly as good as downey down a media human youtube downloader also exists on the mac as well so um it's a good cross-platform alternative but i use in my daily everyday workflow i use downey charlie monroe is the developer i think he's an excellent developer and i'm going to say why i bought it it's because if i think a piece of software works better than other pieces of software of its ilk i will buy it i do that rarely because quite honestly i think most modern software is [ __ ] just quite frankly and honestly i think most developers don't really put a lot of artistry into their software quite frankly i think a lot of you guys think you're doing a good job and you suck at what you do charlie monroe on the other hand is one of the rare gems and i'll publicly come out and say i i'm not i receive no compensation or kickback i'm not advertising i'm just telling you i use it personally okay and i'm telling you why i think he's a good developer i think he puts care into his software he adds features that are requested by any by the his users he updates the feature set he fixes the bugs and here's why he's really good that most people don't do his software is mo takes advantage of multi-threaded multi-threading excellently and most developers don't know how to do that and that's why their software is slow sluggish shitwear and that's why downey is ultra fast and it's the best at what it does the end you you want to show me a piece of software that does what it does better i challenge you to do it this is best in class as far as i am concerned and that's why i use it every day do you know how many videos i have pulled down from the internet with this piece of software from every conceivable website all right and that's why i paid for it because i think the developer deserves compensation in an instance like this because he's an artist that what he does he he takes pride in his art as people should where and most people don't they rush things out and it's shitwear and they think oh well i made a piece of software give me money for it most people's software is shitwear this guy knows what he's doing and takes pride in his art so that's why i think he deserves compensation so i want to tell you what happened with his software because first of all most people don't know second of all the only reason it is still even functioning is because people made a ruckus about what happened and there was a huge outcry in the developer community this week as there should be and and well done that's all i have to say to the development community to the software community to to the mac community well done you guys made apple recant their position and back down and let me tell you something apple and cook you're rotten [ __ ] liars you're rotten [ __ ] liars you're liars about why you took this software down saying it was an accident in your automation processes you're right [ __ ] trash lying scumbags nobody believes you including i guarantee you i don't that up here's what happened with downey downey is a third-party piece of software that is available in the app store but it is also available on uh the developers website it might not even be in the app store it might just be on the website apple has instituted something called digital code signing where you can tell basically the mac os that you are a trusted developer that has a code signing certificate from apple now all this means is that your software is basically approved to run on the mac platform and that it's not malware if you if the developer chooses not to do this on the mac somebody has to tell they have to disable what's called gatekeeper on the mac and that's actually the name of the software apple built into their platform called gatekeeper you have to disable that which i'm going to show people how to do today folks we're going to get a little technical here on what on earth is happening and this is even an advanced thing okay but i'm going to show you how to actually disable gatekeeper on your computer i'm going to show you downey i'm going to show you library as an alternative uploading platform for videos because this is all about censorship this is all about what big tech wants to allow you to say and to publish all right this is part of the ongoing war that we are in for freedom of speech which is ultimately a spiritual war so i own downey i bought it directly from charlie monroe on his website i paid via paypal i got the activation code and installed the software so i own it from i've bought it it's my property that i run from a third-party developer nobody has the right to tell me i can't run that app on my computer which is my property stop telling me apple's allowed to disable software on my own computer it's my property i will run what i choose on my property i am the one who decides what goes on my machine not you cochler and not you other [ __ ] and caps who think that this isn't criminal behavior saying an apple has that the arc drive and downey's the the the a warning comes up saying this software is malware and can damage your computer you should move it to the trash i was using it at 11 p.m the following that the previous day 11 pm the previous day i was downloading youtube videos with this piece of software and then the very next morning it throws up a dialogue saying this is malware you should move it to the trash now let me explain what happened apple and google who are in cahoots with each other must have decided we're we're sick of having this piece of software around that's been around for a lot of years now that easily allows people to grab youtube videos off of youtube download them easily and fast store them on their own computer and redistribute them when youtube bans them so that they could be easily redistributed to any other platform or website google and apple don't want that functionality on any computer they want to make that impossible if they can because they want chinese and communist and fascist style censorship they are globalists that are trying to bring about worldwide human slavery and they don't want the free flow of information especially in an election year obviously that's all nonsense [ __ ] but they want to try to control the outcome and nudge it into an even more fascist and communist direction they don't want the free flow of information regarding covet 19. they don't want it they want a sensor any alternative narrative so they don't want people being able to download things like the press conference about coven 19 and all the doctors who are saying there's a lot of alternative information about treatment they want to take that down from youtube and they want it gone forever and they don't want anybody to be able to re-upload it to other channels they don't want anybody to be able to re-upload it to other platforms they want it censored and gone from the internet one star their algorithms targeted for censorship downey is a a piece in the puzzle that makes it possible to grab information from one platform and redistribute it to multiple other platforms and that's why apple and google are not interested in downey's existence they want it gone ultimately and tr mark my words folks this won't be the last you hear of problems about this app and any other apps that do the same thing they want the feature of being able to grab a video before it is censored removed from all platforms and you don't understand that that's what it's about you're a naive [ __ ] child who does not understand what's going on in this world so what happened is all at once one moment apple revoked their signing certificate from this developer this effectively immediately put him out of business because the developers signed signing certificate their certificate of authority from apple makes all of their apps run on the platform it checks it against an internal security database on mac os so what apple has the power to do allegedly to keep people safe from malware but it's make no mistake about it it's for reasons of censorship hitlerian style himmler style gobbles style censorship yes it is for that purpose they have the ability to flick a switch and immediately across the world make a program not be able to launch on every single back computer in the world that power should not exist i don't give a [ __ ] if you're paranoid about malware then get some [ __ ] balls and responsibility and understand how to protect your computer against malware by not being a [ __ ] idiot not handing that kind of level of power into apple's there there's a free trial and again this is mac only on windows i recommend media human youtube downloader on linux at the command line you could easily install youtube dash dl and you're kind of off to the races with those two pieces of software on other platforms for the purpose of this i'm simply talking about the mac platform again which is my platform of choice and that's my right and no it's blog a day without business on august 4th 2020 i woke up to a slightly different world and this is charlie monroe's words folks i had lost my business as it seemed a full inbox of reports of my apps not launching cr or crashing on launch and after not too long i found out that when i sign into my apple developer account i can no longer see that i would be enrolled into apple's developer program oh contraire it shows a button for me to enroll which i tried clicking but only got a message that i can't do that after more investigation i found out let me make this a little bigger much better okay after more investigation i found out that the distribution certificates were revoked evidently by apple as no one else has access to them and i was sound asleep when all this happened each mac os app these days need to be needs to be code signed using an apple issued certificate so that the app will flawlessly work on all computers meaning all mac computers when apple revokes the certificate it is generally a remove kill switch for the apps i got really frightened all of a sudden no user was able to use my apps anymore and this means all of his apps not just downey though interestingly i was able to connect my app to my app store account and my apps were there and working anyway there is to my knowledge no hotline for developers that you can call as it was 7 00 a.m all times are c-e-t central apples i i guess i don't know is that central uh european time so i'm not really sure but i think that's what it is apple's contact form only showed the option to send them an email so i did at 9am with my teeth grinding i went for the phone option where you leave a number and they call you back they didn't of course not this was done with no warning folks they never sent charlie an email they never called him nothing and when he tried to get in touch with them no response at this point you no longer know whether you have a business or not should i quickly go and apply for another job or should i try to find another company and distribute the apps under it what should i do the most damaging thing to me is the message shown to the user let me even blow this up further so people can see it sorry there it is this is what i was getting on my own computer folks downey4 app will damage your computer you should move it to the trash this file was downloaded on an unknown date report malware to apple to protect other users with the checkbox checked this is the message mac os shows to all users who try to launch my app that it will damage their computer with a check box to re report malware enabled the average user immediately goes nuts the average user has no idea what happened as soon as this happened folks i immediately knew apple had revoked the signing certificate for censorship reasons because of downey not because of any of his other software the issue here was downey being able to download from google's youtube platform so that you could take videos that google deems sensor censored and redistribute them make no mistake about it that's the reason as soon as i got that message on the morning of august 4th i immediately knew what and then you know what i did i ad hoc code signed that [ __ ] and it reopened for me but good luck one and a half a million people know how to do that all right because i'm a tech head and i i know how to do that so i just ad hoc code signed it you know boom with the developer tools and it reopened and then i'm back in business using it almost every user probably just panicked and put it in the trash because they don't know what the ad hoc code signing even means let alone how to do it all right so back to this blog i fully understand that the entire idea here is that apple can remotely kill malware and to keep the user on the safe side but can't they differentiate between individual cases can't they add revocation reason and in case they just revoked the developer's certificate for non-malware reasons show something along the lines of this app needs an update from the developer please contact the developer why not i really find the above borderlining on slander charlie you're absolutely right and as a matter of downey in real time and show you this all right all right so step out for one second and just let me get my desktop together because we're going to do some things in we're going to get some lessons in software right now all right so you just good all right good you can go back in okay just wanted to make sure okay you could download this as a trial right here okay i already have it installed but i'm just going to show you how it works okay so you hit this it'll download my internet connections very fast and already finished i'm going to hit that little magnifying glass and just show you that one more time because i know i did it fast hit the hit the downloader download icon okay it says that it downloaded already it's complete you hit hit this little magnifying glass right here that'll take you right to the download all right so then you can see it went out to the desktop here's the software this is called a dmg on the mac it's one of the two most popular software distribution mediums file format dmg stands for disk image it's a virtual disk like plugging a thumb drive into your computer when you double click this it mounts a virtual disk into the file system okay so i'm going to double click it and you'll see it's saying opening it's mounting into the file system then it shows you this window at the top here you see it's a little disk icon i'll show you where that actually mounts if i go to my main computer level here which is the equivalent of windows this pc in the windows file explorer right right here shows me all the drives that are mounted so i have a network drive mounted i have my internal hard drive and here's downey this is a virtual disk you know double clicking it does the equivalent of plugging a little flash drive into the computer even though it there is no physical disk so hence it's called a disk image or a virtual disk all right now it says you could install it by just if you actually look here this is a representation of what's in this folder okay it's just two different views all right you could drag it right to the applications folder like that and see you get that plus and if you drop it there it'll actually copy it into the application folder so then i can launch it from the application folder which i have in my doc there's downey right there okay i already have it installed i have a folder called third-party software so i'm actually going to take it out of there i'm just going to hit open in finder i'm going to remove downey from that directory okay so i just want to show you how you get it installed on the mac after that's done you can eject the disk image and you can even toss the uh disk image if you want which i'll do so i just wanted to briefly show you that's a very quick software installation uh i already had it installed here in my third-party app so i'm going to just open up downe4 okay this is downy it's a very simple interface okay and um you know you could peruse the menus you know there's different functions in the menus as with any other piece of software you know you could look at the preferences okay you know general preferences um you know all kinds of set settings appearance do you want it in dark mode or light mode etc where do you want it to download what do you what do you want to do with the history items you want to install the browser extensions okay we can go endlessly through all of that but you set it up how you like and then you know you could just leave it there you don't even have to have it open right okay i could even quit it right i put the browser extension in and that's right here um it's right over here see this icon i'm pointing to here up in the right hand side this is the downey browser extension okay so it works in conjunction with the browser you don't even need to use the browser extension it's just a nicety i'll show you how to use it with and without the browser extension okay let's say you go to what on earth is happening and you're looking through my videos here's a good example let's say you wanted to download the natural law documentary trailer right okay so you're watching this and you're like oh cool trailer i want to download this right so there's a few ways you could do it you could use downey right on this page because it's embedded but i like to just go right to the video so you can click this white link at the top that'll actually take you it'll open up the youtube page okay so i just write i right clicked and i chose open in a new tab right and then there's my youtube page with the with the natural law video i don't even have to hit play here okay as long as this page is open is up right all i got to do is now copy this url i could right click here and hit copy right so i'm in the title bar you go to the title bar right and just right click select all what's in the title bar right click and choose copy all right now i'm going to go to downey all right so let me launch downey and now i just go to edit and hit paste that's it it sends that into downey and watch it go and done that's it that fast you blinked you missed it in my downloads folder is the file downloaded directly from youtube okay that's it i could show you i could double click this it'll open my movie player i generally use something called movies and you know you could hear the sound the video is playing universal laws yeah you get the idea i now have the file locally on my own computer if i wanted to upload this to any other platform i could do it right now as a matter of fact i could even show you how to do that okay so because i want to show you circumvention procedures first internet censorship okay so now i'm gonna just trash that and we'll do it again so i'm going to delete this right i'll empty the trash that file is no longer on my computer i'll leave down the open i'm going to go back into my web browser and now all i'm going to do is hit this button here which is the browser extension what this does is it takes that url and automatically sends it to downey in the background right so i'm gonna hit this and now i'm going to go into downey you could see it's already there without even pasting it it did that automatically for me and that fast it's it's downloaded yet again okay do you see the power of this first of all first of all folks most of you can't download youtube videos that quick and efficiently you don't know how to do it and that's why you can't archive data from the internet and you're not acting as redistributors of data because your technological the mac here's where it is it's in system preferences how did i get to that apple menu system preferences conversely you can go into the main applications folder with the go menu like that and scroll down and open system preferences okay that's simple all right get system preferences open you go into security and privacy now in here under general there will be usually only two settings here allow apps downloaded from the app store or apple store app store and identified developers you see mine has a third option anywhere i have enabled that through the command line or terminal of macos okay most people don't even have that option anymore because apple is trying to bring the same hitlerian fascism to the mac that they have already implemented on ios and ipad os and we need to fight against it because it's immoral and it's all about censoring feature sets that they don't want on your computer and that is criminal racketeering and monopolization and apple needs to be forced down from those policies forced by an act of our will because they don't have the right all you trash to think apple has this right you're [ __ ] trash and you don't know morality would have sided with the default text a little bit bigger so it's easier to see just give me a second and i'll do that let's make it nice and big so it's easy to see and reopen all right let's open a new terminal window okay you can go back to it thank you okay great all right so it's a little bit easier to see okay so to enable the root account at all on a mac you have to type s-u-d-o space p-a-s-s-w-d space root this will enable the root account my root account is it'll ask you for your password then it will ask you to set a root password okay so i've already done this okay my root account is enabled but that's the command to do it sudo password s-u-d-o space p-a-s-s-w-d space r-o-o-t then hit return it will ask you to authenticate your account password you have to put your own password in then it will say what do you want the root password to be you'll have to type a root password and then it will ask you to confirm so you'll put your own password authentication in first for your own account then you will set a new password for the root user account once you have root access then you will be able to disable um gatekeeper as a matter of fact you can do it without doing that that's actually an additional step you could use the sudo command to do this and then it will it will disable gatekeeper with your own password i don't think you even need to enable the root account but if you want to enable it you could do that okay so uh that here is the password to turn gate the not the password but the command to turn gatekeeper off i'll actually post this in a document with the podcast okay the command that turn gatekeeper office sudo space spctl space dash dash master dash disable okay so i'm going to copy that to the clipboard i'm going to paste it in and i'm going to hit return it'll ask for your your account password you could type that in that's okay it won't show it in the terminal okay and you could see it took the command the next thing is to prevent gatekeeper from rearming you type this one in it's long i'm not going to read it i will post it with the podcast okay copy that paste it hit return you'll already be authenticated and it's done you will now be able to run third-party software from anywhere on a mac if apple removes the ability to do that at any future point i have to consider them a completely locked down platform and then truly consider moving to windows or linux because uh it's only because these commands still run that i can run software that i want to run on my own property not apple's property on my own property to all the and cap ass holes that think apple's doing this with their property no they're doing this with other people's property [ __ ] and you guys need to understand that so next i'm going to show you at the command line how to force code sign an app so let's say an app was not apple decided in their infinite wisdom to revoke a signing certificate okay you're going to take this command how to force code sign an app right and this is here the the path to the app all right so let's say downey stopped working all right you could force code sign it so i'm going to show you downey actually i'm going to move downy to my desktop here's downey 4. let's say it was on my desktop let's say i double clicked it it didn't launch because its code signing certificate was revoked first of all you need to download and install apple's command line development tools or you will not be able to do this because the code sign program is part of apple's command line development tools all right so to get them you have to go to developer.apple.com and download from their tools uh let's see where it is you gotta sign into your account uh take me out so i could sign in let me know when you can switch out there we go okay and i'll sign in here give me one second i'll let you know when i'm signed in there's two-factor authentication it's verifying it all right you could switch back in okay so this is apple's uh software for developers you're going to have to hit this link more right there and then in this list you want the command line tools for the non-beta version of xcode i don't recommend using the beta version so you're going to look down here right here is the most recent non-beta command line tools for xcode 11.5 i've already downloaded and installed those so i'm not going to do that again okay but um that's what you would have to download and it's a package installer you'll run the package and then you'll have the command line tools for xcode okay once you do that then you can enter into the terminal the command that i was previously showing people i'm going to go back you can code sign force code sign an app so this is the base command right here pseudo code sign minus f minus s dash dash dash deep right so i'm going to copy that to my clipboard right right click copy then i'm going to paste that in the terminal now i'm going to put the cursor at the end and i'm going to put a space and then i'm going to drag the app from wherever it's at right onto the terminal and it puts the path that's it and then i hit return all right it's going to deep code sign the app and that's what you would do hit the return key to view the license agreement you have not agreed to xcode okay i i would have to actually agree to the license agreement for xcode so that's one of the reasons that uh you know it's a little bit longer of a procedure you have to um hit the return key to view the license agreement okay let's see what happens okay software license agreement i have to go to the end of this and then agree to it okay by typing agree yeah okay it agreed and then it for it code signed it okay so that's it the app was ad hoc that's called ad hoc code signing and folks this is pretty technical but for the viewers out there who understand what i just did okay you can circumvent apple censorship policies like that on apps that they don't want running on your property imagine this apple's now reaching into my computer and telling me what i can run you [ __ ] rat nazis you are nazi trash who had horror [ __ ] mother nazis for trash parents and a rat [ __ ] nazi father that's what you are cookler and resource this is called unblock it and they do something that's very smart to keep the sensors from being able to track their um hosting providers they change their domain pretty much every month or two which is a great idea so they used to be on unblock it dot one o n e now they're on unblock it dot win so unblock it for the win okay unblock it is a site that tracks all of the deep web websites so everything on here is deep web which means it is unindexed by the major search engines how a search engine works is it goes out it sends a little web app out on the internet that does what's called spidering okay it spiders a website and it basically indexes some of the content namely the major text on a web page and then it indexes that in a big database which is the search engine and then it has algorithms to search through that data and bring back web pages that are clickable results most people should understand that that's how in general you know without going into a really technical explanation how a search engine works well all a search engine needs to do to basically block a website from being reached from them from their web page in other words all google would need to do to prevent people from ever reaching a website through google is to put into their search engine program algorithm the code of their of their search engine app do not index this top level domain the spider should just not visit it therefore none of the text will be captured and nobody can search it and that's it the end and then you don't even know it exists dumb [ __ ] right that's all all the dumb [ __ ] who don't know that there's more to the internet than what google shows us as a matter of fact do you know how much of the internet conservatively google shows us about seven percent and some people say it's less than that it's five or three percent the dark web actually constitutes between 93 and 97 of all content available on the internet let me say that again folks because this is how dumb people are that they don't even know this the dark web meaning unindexed content that search engines do not index accounts for and comprises between 93 and 97 of all content available on the internet think about that for one moment and that's true that is those are true statistics look it up and understand what that means that means that you are prevented from being given search results for a pro over 90 percent on average 95 of all the available data on the internet and you wonder why people aren't enlightened you wonder why they're not getting it they don't know how to get it because all they know how to do is grab muslab let me grab my slab and thumb some garbage into it like the dumb [ __ ] that i am and then google's gonna show me what's out there facebook's gonna show me what's out there i'm gonna have some nice comedic things for you guys that i'm talking about you luddite [ __ ] out there that that you rely on muslab why don't you just strap it to your [ __ ] head or better yet strap it over your [ __ ] mouth as a mask so we don't have to hear the [ __ ] liquid sewage that pours out of your gullet so for those of you who aren't muslab users there's such a site called unblockit.win that you can go to and you can get 95 of the content that no other search engine will show you it is available you will need to understand how to use bittorrent for most of this which is the big section at the top torrent sites not going to go into them individually there's not enough time for that streaming sites for people who want to post content like movies films tv shows even documentaries if you're into sports you know and not paying attention to what's really going in the world knock yourself the [ __ ] out direct download sites which can contain books software etc music downloading and the most important you know there's adult content down below for people that want to click into there i won't do that but this is one of the more important aspects the book downloads okay yeah uh yeah of course you know blocking ads you know my producer's pointing out you could download you block origin which i use that gets most uh advertisement off out of your browser okay you can white list sites blacklist sites you could block individual content individual sections of sites if you want but from unblock it i learned about libgen i was very late to the game with this okay and there's some other good book sites but let me i'm going to show you libgen because it's incredible as a matter of fact before i do that i want to mention first of all you know you could download things from pirate bay lime torrents you know whatever you know you can go to uh tons of torrent sites here okay uh torrance magnet dl you know there's mirror sites for kick ass etc okay and you can knock yourself out to your heart's content garbage is a pretty good one as well okay but i want to show you my favorite bittorrent website all right so let me show you bittorrent again we went over this as well all right so i like the the bittorrent client known as transmission so if you type transmission bittorrent that's t-r-a-n-s-m-i-s-s ion transmission like a car transmission bittorrent b-i-t-t-o-r-r-e-n-t very simple just type that in okay and you could get what i think is the best bittorrent client on any platform which is transmission so you can click the download page for transmission there are other great clients out there like deluge you know there's the official bittorrent client you know there's views some of them are better than others i like transmission on both mac and windows but um you know some people you know will like different uh bittorrent clients all you got to look at bittorrent as folks is a very very simple downloading app that's it it downloads apps from other links sorry it's an app that downloads content from other links those links are called torrent links or magnet links okay torrents are actually little files that contain pointers to the these downloads that you want to get which is essentially forbidden content that other websites won't index or let you share okay and what you are doing is you are using what's called a dht a distributed hash table now that's getting technical again so don't worry about the jargon all this means is a way of getting to content that someone else is sharing in a pretty technologically complex way what's coming and is already really here is dht search engines so we don't even need trackers or or sites that host torrents or magnet links okay but i'm going to show you my favorite transmission client program and my favorite transmission tracker which is consent.org okay so all you would have to do is click here download uh let's go back to the web browser download transmission okay it'll give you transmission for your platform you install it all right i've already installed transmission so i'm going to open it this is what it looks like it's a very very very simple interface okay it's just a downloader that's all it is all right now i'm going to take you to my favorite bittorrent webs related website which is consent.org so that's c-o-n-c-e-n dot o-r-g con sen.org when you get there this is basically what the site looks like okay and you are going to want to click right here you don't even have to make an account you can if you want if you want to upload you do have to make an account but that's more complex you just want to download hit torrence right here t-o-r-r-e-n-t-s torrents this is going to show you the list of available torrents on consent okay so i haven't downloaded this one this is a new escape the matrix with david ike one of my favorite researchers okay who i have tremendous respect and admiration for for his deep research and courage i am going to you can download it as a torrent right there which will give you the little pointer file i like to use the magnet link the magnet link to me is even more advanced than the torrent that's this little magnet okay the magnet can never really be censored torrents are files that you have to download and insert them into your torrent client a magnet is a link that is associated with the torrent client you can post the text of the link anywhere for example if i wanted to share this anywhere on the internet folks i could right click on this magnet if i right click on that magnet and i choose copy link location right there i have just copied the torrent link the magnet link i'm sorry i that it's the reason bittorrent is uncensorable because of magnet links is this it requires no server technology magnets once they are anywhere on the internet they are essentially immoral immortal the magnet protocol not immoral immortal okay they can last and live forever as long as people are sharing them or what's called seeding them okay so let me paste this into a text editor to show you what this link looks like this is essentially what is known as a dht or a distributed hash table value that's all it is i want to make this plain text and make it bigger so people can see what this is all right it spans four five lines okay but essentially that's one link so this whole thing is one link all right so if you send that to anybody in the world and in any way they can get that episode of david ike's season 1 episode 11 of escape the matrix okay that link right there that's the magnet link all right so if i email that if i post it in a forum if i i send it you know in a compressed file in a text file or i send an attachment a text file doesn't matter any way you you could you could text that on your slab to anybody you want okay and then they will be able to download it as long as they have a bittorrent client all right so i could copy and paste that into my bittorrent client all right so if i copied that and then went right here and just pasted it'll start to download all right i want to do it the traditional way which is just click on the magnet link that will send the data right to transmission it will do what's called um demagnetize it means it's getting all of the data that it needs for the download to begin and then it will begin downloading from whatever peers are available meaning other people that have the file and you'll see it'll take a moment but that'll pick up steam and then it will download and i will be able to open
